About Dr. Caitlin Giesler

Her background

Dr. Giesler graduated with a BA in Biochemistry from The University of Texas. After attending McGovern Medical School UT Houston, she completed residency and fellowship at The University of Cincinnati.  She has practiced in Austin since 2008.

Her passion for womens health

After her father died of a heart attack during her last year of medical school, Dr. Giesler realized that there was a lack of knowledge regarding her own and her sister's risks for heart disease- thus started her journey to understand, engage in research, advocate and educate.  As a mother, now mid-life, she understands the transformational changes a woman experiences over a lifetime. Heart disease prevention and treatment considering the biological and social impact for women is central to her care.

her approach

Dr. Giesler believes in personalized care based in science. She wants to understand the questions and concerns of her patients and work with them on individualized assessments and treatment plans to improve quality of life today and prevent heart disease progression long term.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We do not bill insurance directly. Our practice follows a direct-pay model, which allows us to devote the time and attention you deserve—before, during, and after your visit—without the limitations of an insurance-based system.
However, we’re happy to provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement.

Yes. We order tests, labs, imaging, stress tests, and prescriptions through your insurance whenever possible. Your insurance can still help cover many aspects of your care outside of your visits with us.

The membership plan supports our commitment to ongoing, personalized care. Rather than waiting 6 or 12 months between visits, we want to be part of the continuous conversation about your heart health and overall well-being.
This model allows us to work closely with a smaller number of patients, giving you frequent access and highly specialized support to create and maintain a heart health plan that fits your life and goals.

Yes. While our membership plan offers the most ongoing support, we do offer one-time consultations for second opinions or focused heart health evaluations. We're happy to work with you in whatever way best fits your needs.
