Dr. Giesler graduated with a BA in Biochemistry from The University of Texas. After attending McGovern Medical School UT Houston, she completed residency and fellowship at The University of Cincinnati. She has practiced in Austin since 2008.
After her father died of a heart attack during her last year of medical school, Dr. Giesler realized that there was a lack of knowledge regarding her own and her sister's risks for heart disease- thus started her journey to understand, engage in research, advocate and educate. As a mother who is now mid-life, she understands the transformational changes a woman experiences over a lifetime.
Dr. Giesler believes in personalized care based in science. She wants to understand the questions and concerns of her patients and work with them on individualized assessment and treatment plans to improve quality of life today and prevent heart disease progression long term.
